As noted in my favorites last month, when Amazon Prime Day arrived in July, I couldn’t resist giving their new skincare brand, Belei, a try.
There are currently 16 products available in the line, including a blemish control face cleanser, makeup wipes, a face mask, serums, treatments, moisturizers, sunscreen, and an eye cream. The best part is that all products in the line are very reasonably priced and affordable.
NOTE: As of December 2022, Belei products are showing as unavailable on Amazon. I reached out to Amazon, and they said they don’t know if or when the products will be back in stock.

Amazon Belei Skincare
First, a brief introduction to the Belei skincare line. Amazon is focusing on simple beauty solutions that allow key effective ingredients to take center stage. Their product range allows you to create a new skincare routine or you can just incorporate a product or two into your current routine.
All of their products in the Belei line are free of parabens, phthalates, and sulfates. The products do not have added fragrances or perfumes, but you may notice a scent from the raw ingredients. They are dermatologist tested and cruelty-free.
What caught my attention was their sampler kit which allows you to try four reduced-size products at a reduced price.
I purchased the Belei Beauty Solutions Kit which includes the following products: Belei Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum (0.5 oz), Belei Triple-Peptide Eye Cream (0.1 oz), Belei Ferulic Acid + Vitamins C and E Serum (0.5 oz) and Belei Retinol Refining Moisturizer (0.5 oz).
My first impression of the products that I purchased starts with the packaging. The packaging is sturdy and the sample size serums and moisturizer come in pump bottles that do not allow in light or air, which I like.
The eye cream comes in a jar and you apply it with your fingers which I don’t love, but this is a common type of packaging for eye creams. Now, onto the products I tested…
The first product that I tried was Belei Hydrating Hyaluronic Acid Serum. This hyaluronic acid serum was different than any other hyaluronic acid serum that I’ve tried. The formula is an opaque gel and much thicker than others that I’ve used.
Some of the first few ingredients are silicones, so beware that this product includes silicones if that is an issue for you. You can feel their presence as they provide smoothness and slip to the product.
The silicones provide a somewhat primer-like texture as a base for makeup, but I found that you must make sure that you don’t apply too much product, otherwise the serum will pill when layered with other products.
The serum itself is a blend of five hyaluronic acids that help the skin retain moisture and to reduce the appearance of fine lines and plump the skin.
Be sure to allow the serum to absorb before applying moisturizer, sunscreen, makeup or other products. Due to the thick nature of this product, be sure to apply thinner serums prior to this serum.
There is a little left in the bottle and I am saving it for colder weather to see how my skin responds. I don’t mind silicones in my products, so the different feel of this hyaluronic acid serum is interesting. I do feel like the formula’s thickness helps lock in moisture, which a hyaluronic acid product should do.
Belei Ferulic Acid + Vitamins C and E Serum
I love vitamin C products since vitamin C is such a potent antioxidant for your skin, so I was excited to try Belei Ferulic Acid + Vitamins C and E Serum. This antioxidant-rich serum contains ferulic acid which helps to stabilize the notoriously unstable vitamin C and neutralize free radicals.
A water-soluble form of vitamin C helps to brighten skin targeting hyperpigmentation and age spots. Vitamin E works alongside vitamin C to provide photoprotection against UVB rays. Glycerin moisturizes and provides hydration to the skin.
This serum has a clear thin gel-like texture. It absorbs well into the skin and layers well with other skincare and makeup products. I am unclear on the percentages of active ingredients in this product, but I experienced no irritation as I do from some other vitamin C products.
This is a light serum and it’s been an easy product to add to my morning skincare routine. If using this product during the day, be sure to follow with sun protection.
Belei Triple-Peptide Eye Cream has a lush creamy, silky and slightly pearlized appearance. Made for all skin types, it contains aloe vera for moisture and anti-inflammation, as well as shea butter, squalane and glycerin for additional moisture.
The formula also contains a tri-peptide blend to encourage collagen production, hyaluronic acid, and caffeine, which helps to reduce puffiness.
Once applied it takes quite a bit of effort for the product to absorb and for the color of the product to fade into your skin. Once fully absorbed, the cream dries to a matte finish and the pearly color disappears. The eye cream works well under makeup and does not pill.
A little really goes a long way with this eye cream. I could not get past the effort required for it to absorb, so while I like the matte finish, this was the product that I liked the least in the kit.
Belei Retinol Refining Moisturizer is formulated with retinol (vitamin A). It is released throughout the day or night depending on when it is applied. It also contains hyaluronic acid for hydration and squalane for added moisture. This is very helpful since retinol is known to be drying on the skin.
I really like this moisturizer. I use it at night and always wake up with brighter, smoother skin. This moisturizer actually leaves my face moisturized unlike some other products containing retinol.
It is unclear how much retinol is included in this product, but since retinol is near the bottom of the ingredient list, it does not appear that the concentration is very high.
I am not complaining, though, because I still see results with zero irritation. Love that! If using this product during the day, be sure to follow with sun protection while using and 7 days after. Formulated for all skin types, including sensitive skin.
Additional Belei Products
Some additional Belei products which I have not tried but look interesting:
This charcoal face mask contains charcoal, known for its oil-absorbing properties, and hyaluronic acid to help support moisture retention. Another very reasonably priced Belei product.
This vitamin C moisturizer contains vitamin C (plus vitamin E) for brightening and evening skin tone. Also in the formula are aloe vera, squalane, glycerin and hyaluronic acid for added moisture. It also contains soothing shea butter and antioxidant green tea.
Belei Dark Spot Solution Serum contains (one of my favorite ingredients) niacinamide and plankton extract to treat hyperpigmentation and over time to minimize the appearance of spots as a result of acne.
For those looking to treat blemishes, Belei offers Blemish Control Oil-Free Daily Face Cleanser, 2.5% Benzoyl Peroxide Acne Treatment. This cleanser contains benzoyl peroxide plus clay and botanical extracts to absorb oil and exfoliate the skin.
For those looking for a blemish spot treatment, you can try Blemish Control Spot Treatment with 5.5% Benzoyl Peroxide. Both treatments are for acne-prone skin but not recommended for very sensitive skin.
Final Thoughts on Belei Skincare
I am thrilled that Amazon is now offering a skincare line. Of all the products I tested, I really liked the retinol moisturizer. It ran out quickly, so the full size is on my list to repurchase.
The serums were nice and I look forward to trying the hyaluronic acid serum when my skin is especially dry. All of the products in the line are reasonably priced. Plus, the Beauty Solutions Kit is an affordable introduction to the brand.
